I paddle a burn and love everything but the shitty outfitting. it is really forgiving but super edgy and boofs like a champ. It also does the best tiny eddy turns for small creeks i've ever seen. i've heard that if you go off big ass drops flat it hurts more than the displacement hull creek boats like the nomad or jefe but thats not a good idea anyway.

You can almost always get out if you aren't pinned. However sometimes swimming is your worst option.On some big water runs you will probably die if you swim. In your kayak you are much more boyant and in control. Swimming shallow steep creeks also suuuuuucks! these boys only swim when they have tried rolling several times or their skirts implode on big drops. Otherwise they hold the fuck on.

eastcoastsurfer06 is right. if you held it perpendicular your shoulders will tear easy. some people even throw their paddle so nothing can go wrong and eventually hand roll.

the canoe paddle is what they call a c-1 paddler they are on their knees and use one blade paddle. Yooy drink from your show when you swim out of your kayak it is a tribute to the river gods. you swim and dont drink a bootie and you will be forever cursed and have bad lines untill you do the bootie. its like a sacrafice or superstition.
