A 1967 MGM album that was excellent.
Selections:
1) What About Me - Gibson 1961
2) Blue Blue Day (1957)
3) Big-Hearted Me (1959)
4) Far Far Away (cut) 1960
5) Yes I'm Hurting - Gibson 1966. Not to be confused with Roy's 1961 hit "I'm Hurtin".

  • Goodbye to romance does have it. I know this is a old post but just in case you have not found this yet

  • Incredible album. It was available as a TWOferone CD in the 90's, but I'm pretty sure they changed the title of the reptinted album to "A Legend in my Time" after the classic Gibson song.

Don Gibson is one of the greatest unsung songwriters to ever live. Don's own recordings are among my favorite country ever cut.

Get the Bear collection. Every song is a stunner.

  • @nomiclas the first LP i bought in 61.you're right it was offered up as the most sonically perfect record ever made.the LP "Lonely and Blue".the unfortunate part is,i have the mono version.i do have all the available roy CD's but it's not the same thing.nothing beats vinyl.

  • @nsim333 he did legend on his first monument LP.it's record worth owning.twenty two days was written by gene pitney

  • Cannot get much better than this. Great songs sung by a great singer, not messing the songs about. I can listen to Don & Roy all day. I always considered Don one of the all time great singer/songwriters. Underplayed.

  • Regeneration? Sorry but I've never heard of it. Is that the record he did just before the Wilburys?

  • I bought this at a yard sale in Maine this month for $2.

  • Roy was a big fan of Don Gibson's music and were good friends. Both wrote brilliant songs and were so talented.

  • I just uploaded it for you.

    :]

  • Great album thanks for sharing some big O
