I'm an atheist and I don't support the Catholic church on a lot of views however I do believe in freedom of religion. How can you call Plutarco Ellias Calles a hero?

My Grandfather was Maximiliano Herrera from Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Mexico. He lead troops and opened the doors of the church in Tlaltenango and because of his faith and belief in freedom of religion the Government hunted him down and tortured, beat and hanged him. And I'm proud to say he was my Grandfather.

In the '50 and '60, Romania was under the same siege. Our "army" of faithful was fighting in the forests, in the mountains and in the villages. They were tens of thousands. They also died for freedom.They are our testament for those if someone will try take away our freedom again.

When answering this question, people usually only think about the inquisition. One must also consider the Crusades which were precipitated by Pope Urban II in 1096 as well as the numerous wars of religion that took place from the 13th century through the the 17th century. So, how many died at the hands of the Catholic Church? If you include the Crusades, the Inquisition and the wars of religion, then a guesstimate of 100,000 plus is probably a pretty good guess. So please do some research.

It's hard to present an opinion with that many grammatical errors in one post. I do agree, however, the catholic sect does have their hands dirty and have murdered millions of people. Maybe you should rethink your argument and how best to get your point across, before you post again.

You are a very wise man. I agree with everything you said. GOD IS PERFECT, and the church is made of humanity, which isn't perfect. People can be so negative and mean. I'm glad so see both sides of the coin. The Catholic Church is Saint not because of US, but because of OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, QUE VIVA!
