That's why you gotta keep your fingers straight and not worry about the mace falling out of your palm. It's not a proper palm spin if your fingers are hindering the horizontal motion of the mace.

I'm barely learning to palm spin in that direction with my right hand since I'm so use to letting it spin in the other direction =/. Huge transition for me. Great tutorial :D

No, the finger movement is just an involuntary reflex that occurs. I know what you mean, my fingers look like their moving the mace. In reality the mace in moving the fingers. What keeps the mace spinning is momentum

On competition, is doing the palm spin with Scottish uniform recommended? You, know, that the uniform makes it a little difficult and risky.

You can do it on competition. Like it says on the video, you might need to make adjustments due to uniform limitations. Best advice it to practice with your uniform on so you get a better feel of it.
