  • Mascot Pictures specialized in sound serials in the early Thirties when they had been relegated to third run houses. By combing the current interest in aviation with popular stars Bob Steele and Big Boy Williams, Mascot was popular with Saturday matinee fans. Colbert Clark, shown in the credits as director and screenwriter, was the brother in law of young William Witney, then an office boy at Mascot, who later became the famous Republic serial director.
