@WaldoHunter The comment stating Nogales put in hardwork, was answering the comment from the guy from Savanna's band saying in uppercase letters that Nogales did'nt deserve 1st place and that their show was better in visual, lines etc. and that NHS paid off the judges. In my opinion I saw all the 5a shows. Savanna's show was good, but definitely not in the top 5 this year, Yes Nogales' band is much smaller, but their show is much more accurate, sharp and exciting to hear and watch. con't

@955klosan maybe more sharp and accurate, but more exciting to hear and watch i disagree. And of course he's not a judge for SCSBOA when his band competes in it.

@WaldoHunter with that auxilary and percussion they WOWed the audiance and judges. If the guy's band director feels the same as his student it's no wonder he's not a judge for the SCSBOA. Better luck next year. GREAT JOB NHS Regiment!!

I'm not going to lie Nogales did very well, but please don't act like you worked so much harder than everyone else. We all put in a crazy amount of hours to our shows and worked our butts off. In my PERSONAL opinion Savanna didn't deserve 7th, maybe not first, but definatly not 7th. And no I'm not a judge, but guess what. My director is and he tells us honestly how we did good or bad. trust me he lets us know when we do bad. And he said our show, and i quote "kicked ass" :)

You're right at the fact that size doesn't matter, but it does most certainly help with the sound. Most people, when they see Nogales march onto the field, are very much surprised at how little the band is. Those people are usually the ones who have never seen them perform. So you can't do anything when a person comments on their size because..
