I went on Car Talk to tell my troubles to Tom and Ray. It's show #1039, from 9/25/10. I'm in the third half of the show, right after the new puzzler.
Apparently you'll have to go to Car Talk's website and find it yourself, because YouTube won't let me put a link to it here.

About a week after making this video, I pulled the ecu out (again), cracked it open, and my boss touched up the solder joints on the back of the circuit board for me. Since then, it starts right up every time!
