Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., describes The Image of the Black in Western Art, a project begun in the 1960s. Harvard University's W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research and Harvard University Press have collaborated to publish new editions of the ten-book series.   • It is very impressive the Images of African in western Art. I think you should know that there are also Art Images of African American in the old West Cowboys that you may find interesting on the web at African Cowboys. There Art, Videos, and lots of History
