I made a similar argument on a tv show on the topic of youtube and media being to blame for school shootings: "if a nail gets hit by a hammer, don't blame the hammer, it's the person holding the hammer who's responsible"

Say do you remember back the colmbine school shooting happen and one of the shooter went up to a girl put a gun to her head and asked her if she was a christian? Because she said yes alot of christians made a huge massive deal out of it saying she that she was soo brave. The true is the guy had a loaded gun to her head he was going tot shoot her no matter what she said. She was the only person they asked they shot her because of the same reason they shot everyone else
