Testing out my Xieda 9958 with the brass weights removed from the stock flybar. I'm also testing out a new throttle curve: 00.0 50.0 66.5 83.0 100.0

Extremely agile and responsive now. Also harder to handle..but that's half the fun! :D Can you tell that's a 24 gram bird flying in 9MPH gusts?

Transmitter is the Turnigy 9x with stock firmware.

  • The shaft is designed that way. These helicopters will automatically slide to the left upon take off. This is because the tail rotor airflow pushes against the ground, pushing the heli to the left until you get about 8 - 10 inches off the ground. You can counter this tendency by giving very slight right Aileron at take off, releasing it once you're in the air. Also, try to POP UP when you take off, rather than slowly lifting off from the ground, or alternatively, take off from your hand.

  • Press the throttle stick all the way down. Now put your thumb on the ball and press in. It should click. I believe its 1 beep for junior 2 for senior. Go to RCGroups.Com lots of info there in the Micro Helis forum.

  • @dafremen thanks a lot mate you have been a great help.. happy flying :)

  • One thing i did noticed as soon as i took the heli out of the box, the whole main rotor shaft and frame is tilted to one side, the heli sits crooked as well. But it still flies well though apart from i constantly have to trim the heli when flying. Was your shaft and frame tilted? and do you constantly have to trim the heli in flight? or was i just a bit unlucky in getting mine like this..

Thank you for all your time and help, i am very grateful, i think i will have a look at that site as well.

  • thank you very much mate the was a big help, the instructions was unclear. with your help it was so easy lol.. must admit flying on senior mode is must better, on junior it is not responsive enough..

  • hello great video, i have just got one of these. I read the manual on how to change the flight mode from junior to senior but i cant seem to be able to do it, could you please tell me how or post a video on how to do this?

    HAPPY FLYING :)
