Its a shame that they killed of The Asgard but I can understand why they did so as the Tau'ri do have to learn to stand on our own "cosmic feet" so to speak as our Ancient counterparts did centuries ago

In which episode will Asgard O'Neill? Thanks a lot.

@gbuffon01 Indeed. ;)
I also miss the show, but stargate universe ruined everything.

I think the Asgard did not hand the ships to the Tau'ri, so that the Humans will employ the knowledge that was handed down, as opppsed to slapping on an USAF sticker on the ship. Somewhat along the line of the saying: give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish, feed him for life.
I miss the show...

please help keep this vid alive

@MegaFederation Yeah but when they wiped themselves out, which is what i'm referring to, they gave them the Asgard Core Computer. What about the fleet they possessed when they destroyed themselves. The humans could have had atleast a dozen more ships

Well said. However, I highly doubt we'd ever be such benelovent and honorable race "Friend of All, Protector of All"....

Personally I think the first 7 seasons of sg1 were the best, love the time loop episode!!

@MegaFederation and self-destruction

@gayfarmerboy They did not want to spoil the humans. You know too much technology can make humans greedy.

Not to mention the most helpful too, they fought every kind of major threat to the Tauri. They kept the Goa'uld at bay kinda with the treaty, then used Asgard healing thing to keep Jack alive till he made an Anti Replicator weapon, they they ultimately gave the weapons to defeat the Ori ships with them Beam weapons. Man they did everything. Except sex
