As another hurricane season approaches, beginning on June first, the city has taken on a new mood of confidence. It has become a popular destination for conventions and tourism in general has picked up. I want to add a date 2-23-2010. The french quater was not affected very much by Katrina they are on high Ground. Low ground was affected and some areas of New Orleans are 8 ft or so below sea level
