Too generalized. There are a lot of ways of measuring one's nations preponderance over the other, e.g.,
Richest SEA country (in terms of GDP and GDP per capita) - Singapore
SEA Sports Powerhouse - Thailand (perhaps)
Most diverses SEA country - Indonesia, Malaysia
SEA country with the HIGHEST literacy rate - Philippines

And besides, the opening ceremony in Manila might have been austere. But look at YOUR opening ceremony, it's like a grade school field demonstration of some sort (and in a mere show of force without artistry)! Be careful at what you are saying, or you may find yourself uttering non-sense to people who know what is creative, innovative and artistic by the naked eye.

Why are there so many feeble-minded people in this world. There's nothing wrong to be hyper nationalistic, but come on! The Philippines might have held the SEA Games opening ceremony outside a stadium, but aren't you aware that because of this move the 23rd SEAG Opening Ceremony holds the record for the biggest number of live audience in the world (beating even the Olympics w/c is usually pegged at around a hundred thousand only)? We had 200,000 spectators in our Games, unlike your 20,000.

eventhough my country dont have enough money... we make sure that the athlete will not gonna be bored in our opening ceremony that thailand cant do... coz look at there opening it so boring....they have money but they cant do anything to make sure that they can give a world class opening that the philippines had.... wait for 2019 sea games. we make sure that we already have a 20.000 seater stadium.
