compleating a axle swap in my 1975 dj5. do not try using cherokee 4x4 axles unless you put leaf spring hangers from something else on the outside of the frame. still hard because linkage and stuff is in the way. you can see i almost did a coil spring conversion but scratched that due to every issue in the book holding me back.

  • hi i was wondering if thats a good project to do...my buddu is selling me one like that for 75 dollars but its missing engine parts,,,should i risk it????not really much info out there or parts anyway a little advice

  • well all the engine parts are the same as a cj5 so parts are plentifull. the dj5 is still being used all over the place as postal jeeps. i live in covington wa and just down the road in maple valley i see them delivering mail. ill pull over to one and ask them about any parts you might want. $75!?!?!? i got mine for $400 id say risk it. youll get more for scrapmetal if it doesnt work out.
