This is the first music video made for Dunedin underground band The Puddle. The songs is "Naked" from The Puddle's 2009 album "The Shakespeare Monkey" out now on Dunedin, NZ's Fishrider Records and distributed by Yellow Eye Music. The music video was directed and filmed by Pat O'Neill, unsung hero of many an early Flying Nun Records video. Pat was assisted by Dunedin music scene stalwart Stephen Kilroy and the video was edited by Lisa Hastie at The Video Factory.

  • a message to the puddle..dont waste money on models appearing in videos.it is banal and a waste of money.looks like fuckin shortland street .fuck that.

  • @stankler - thank-you for your concern about our money. Please rest assured The Puddle have none to waste on models. Everyone involved in this video gave their time and talent for free. The video was not funded by NZ on Air and any similarity to Shortland Street is entirely coincidental. It was in fact filmed in the vicinity of George Street, Dunedin.

  • @videomdnp - That would be "Season of the Wolf" from the "Songs for Emily Valentine" album. I have that TV performance on VHS somewhere (Play it Strange fundraiser) - must find it and get it digitaised and uploaded sometime. Thanks for the reminder.

  • really neat song and even the vid is really evocative, the puddle are my favourite band (maybe) what was the song they sung on tv a few years ago, 'Put back together with you'? or something?
