Animal Collective-Pitchfork-Lion in a Coma

Animal Collective performing a new track that will probably be on the next LP. The current title is Lion in a Coma. As for the video quality, its not that great. If you watched the webcast you know what I'm talking about. I had to do a ton of editing as there were tons of pauses in the feed, and had to use different audio (Thank you Periwinkle by the way for that!) I didn't realize that listening to music should be based on philanthropy or an outward concern for others. Creating and contributing music, perhaps, but the the act of listening should be about the internalized experience, how it may challenge, affect, inspire, and change us. Art doesn't have to fulfill a social mandate; it must only move us.

@silentsean602 that's kinda what i meant to say, they're people too, you can't expect them to be perfect every time. i've since then listened to more of their live performances, and found many songs i do enjoy live (this being one of them) i love that they switch it up live i meant it as "why others might not like them live" , i worded it poorly, sorry.

@RueArsins pretty ignorant to think a band can play a song perfectly like the album version night after night. both dave and noah change up things every night, thats what makes them the best

This song is called Lion in a Coma but it makes me think of Tigger.

I would have to agree. The live videos I have seen have proven to me that they really can't play their songs as well as they sound on the album, which is a shame. One thing I've noticed is that they don't even use some of the instruments that are present on the studio recordings. For instance, My Girls, when I saw that live video they didn't even have the 808 bass-line! Wtf? That's pretty much what makes the song.

My girls is just so damn tasty and groovy though. I can't help but sing along and bob my head anytime I hear that song. I would say Bluish or Brother Sport are the best songs on the album though, other than My Girls of course. Lion in a Coma is pretty good too though.
