Part 3 of the original TV pilot for Solid Gold featuring a performance by John Stewart (no, not that John Stewart) singing "Gold" and more of the countdown. BTW the number one song was "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" by Rod Stewart.

I didn't realize when I was a kid how out of synch (and scantily-clad!) the Solid Gold Dancers were!

they did the matrix dance back then!!! What's amazing is how they had a routine for 20 songs!!!! How often did this show come on during the week? I never watching this show, but the SNL Lebron James Solid Gold spoof sparked an interest and the one of the best choreographer Fatima Robinson said she use to watch this show

Wow!!! All the songs in the countdown were all really good songs. We used to talk about it at school recess. I couldn't tell ya what's on the charts nowadays... probably rubbish.

well your opinions nonwithstanding viewrs and fans back then disagreed with that statement. it (amasingly) lasted 8 years so It made some mark on the 80s TV
