I was gonna just buy pre-maid frozen pie dough but may be some people will complain about it...lol So I made it from scratch. I hope you can learn even something from this video. It came out a little funny looking apple pie but it tasted good. I hope this tutorial is acceptable to everyone.

Ingredients (18cmくらいのアップルパイ)

Apple fillings
: 2 Apple(300g) (りんご紅玉2個)
: 100g Sugar (100g砂糖)
: 2 tbsp Lemon juice (大2レモン汁)

☆I didn't use cinnamon because I thought some people didn't like cinnamon flavor. So I just added cinnamon powder after the pie is done like I did in the video. シナモン好きな人はお好みでフィリングに足してください。苦手な人が多いと思い今回は使わなかったのですが、心配する必要もなかったようです。因みにシナモンは入れなくて­も全然いけますが、やっぱ入れると一層風味が良くなりました。

Pie dough (パイ生地)
: 120~130g Chilled flour (冷たくした小麦粉120g~130g)
: Alittle bit of salt (塩少し) 
: 100g butter (100g 冷たくしたバター) 
: 50-60ml Ice water (50-60ccの冷水)

  • リンゴ(紅玉が最高)を適当に切って、レンジでチンして餃子の皮­に包んで油で揚げます。な、何とアップルパイもどきの味になりま­す。揚げ餃子と思って食べた人の、おや?という表情を見るのが好­きです。

    いつも料理をしている人、例えば主婦の立場でもない男の人の意外­にセンスのある作り感に「ああ」なんて思いました。オノマトペも­いいですね。

    ちなみに、パイ生地もパン生地の時にも、「手で生地をちぎる」の­はご法度です。生地を痛めてしまうので、カッター(ナイフでも、­それ用のスケッパーと呼ばれる物でも)がお勧めです。

    アドバイスありがとうございます。突っ込みどこ万歳のビデオです­よね(笑)アップルパイは生地を作る際の撮影が面倒で時間がかか­りました。当時は今より狭い台所でした。懐かしいばかりです。。­。

  • Excuse me I'm a bit curious, is there any reason why you use granulated (white) sugar? I was taught brown sugar usually blends a lot better with the flavour of apples. thanks!

  • the dough you made is basically blitz puff pastry, good idea!

    next time add more spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cardamon, allspice) or even nuts like toasted almonds, hazelnuts!!

  • @ivyibit yep you're right! the flour needs to be cold, along with all the other ingredients for the pie dough

  • normally in america, we cook the apples with cinnamon until it caramelizes but your way sounds so much healthier..
