how did you make the portal gun

@chewyx47 I modeled that using 3ds max. For reference photos I used screenshots from portal.

Cool man :p I liked your idea aswell. I'm interested, how did you do the portal gun? All I could get was a 2D cut out from the game which I masked over the footage. Looks to me like you've taken it from the game, I could never put it in my editing software, 3D confuses me :s...

@Impersitator Thanks. I didn´t take that from the game, I modeled the whole gun in 3ds max and animated with 3ds max as well. 3D is somehow complicated, but when you understand it you can do about everything with it. Nice to heart that the gun looks like the one in the actual game :) I recommend that you get 3ds max. You can model, animate, texture, render with it. Pretty much everything you need. Btw, I´m still learning 3d so you could get much nicer results :)
