k-3 u-boot [high res]

one of the finest and deadliest u-boats of all time. not to mention that the russians did create a new design and (like the nautilus from usa, that based on german designs) did not steal it from germany.

Wrong, pure and simple. All, I repeat all Russian submersible technology of this era was based on German design. as was a good deal of US development. This is an incontravertable fact. There is no shame in this. the victors have always reaped the spoils of war. The allies made much of what they recovered from the Nazis.

as you can see in the clip, the design was unique! the americans didn't even redesgin the german blueprint, just build it an a somewhat bigger scale.

technology might come from the germans as well as from scientist from russia, as project paperclip and all of the knowledge show was transfered to either one or the other side.

Nice Video, but there are scenes with SSN-571 Nautilus, Los Angeles or Sturgeon Class, and Victor III class. Music is great for this video!!! BTW November class was really fast but loud and had severe problems with radiation inside the submarine which was a great danger for the crew. indeed a dangerous submarine for everybody, even for the soviets themselves.

The K-3 was different to all US and German subs at that time. The Cigar shaped hull was new, the conning tower, yes that came from a Type XXI, but the K-class boats were revolutionary. The Nautilus set the scene, the K-class made it happen
