His atomic theory was ever so bold.
He rejected the ideas of his modern science
This clearly showed his open defiance.

Dalton brought the atom back to the table
His theories were wrong, and thats how theyre labeled.
His theory said atoms were the smallest chunk o stuff,
Smallest unit, indivisible, yea they were buff.
With ratios and proportions, he was a pretty mathy guy,
Invented atomic theory but his stuff was awry

Earth, Water, Wind and Fire,
The search for the atom was really dire.
Many have tried, but few really knew.

Movin on to this dude J.J. (Thompson!)
His new theories were kinda OK.
His theory was about the pudding of plum,
This theory proved to be much less dumb.
Positive and negative equally distributed
Pudding and plums, respectively attributed
He found those electrons, negatively charged,
To this assumption, atomic theory was enlarged.

Rutherford is the next guy on this list
His points were clear where others had missed.
His atom had a strong, dense, and positive core,
To research he joined up with Neils Bohr.
The gold foil experiment was his main design,
Empty space in atoms is what he would find.

The Bohr model is the one you see in school,
