How fast did that boat go before the blower? im thinking about getting a hallett 21 day cruiser with a 450hp 454bbc with turbo 400 and champion v-drive. Any ideas of what i shound expect for performance? keep in mind im used to a 16ft bayon 115hp outboard. Also i noticed you started in second, if you were to holeshot it, would using 1st be a good thing in your situation? just wondering. any input you have would be greatly apperciated

That was very interesting... I have heard of some Italian speedboats with 3-speed transmissions... but I doubt that they would be able to handle the torque that your engine is delivering.

First gear is for around the dock only it is very low gear and cannot get the boat on plane, with your set up you should see 65+ MPH I gained about 10 MPH with the blower and 6 pounds of boost. Hallett is a little heavier than my Connolly hull.
