I guess it depends on what is instilled in the child from the beginning. I have several televisions in my home and my daughter is 9 years old and would much rather pick up a book or play outside. She doesn't like cartoons like the average child I must admit but I guess that comes from watching me. I don't watch tv and would read a book. If i sold all the televisions she wouldn't care. I have televisions in my home for our visitors.

I agree children should not be pasted to the TV, but the reality is that if there is a TV in the house the kids are likely going to watch it to some extent, and they'll pretty much watch anything. I don't blame society entirely for the behavior of children; parents play a huge influential role and should communicate with their children about other influences (school, friends, media, etc.)

Alexis is very elegant young woman. I like the redhead, too. I wonder how well Alexis and Martha get along. I read some silly book years ago and it spoke of some difficulties. Hard to know. p.s. Whatever, Martha is not funny.

Or maybe you mean "you're", which is a contraction of "you are". "Your" is the possessive modifier, as in "Your spelling sucks."

Good Lord People! Have a sense of humor! I have been a Living subscriber since 1987 but I think this is hilarious! Yes I love Martha, even named my Frenchie after hers but sometimes she's over the top which is why she's so great! But I am sure she and Alexis are fine and laugh with each other like I laugh with my mom... so don't try to over analyze the situation! Dear God, get a life!
