On December 28, 2007 (one year from grand opening), I drove parallel to the light rail from 24th Street to Highland Street in Phoenix.

  • Real glad you posted this. We're only about 30 years late catching up to the rest of the industrialized world in public transportation. Once most of us can no longer drive our cars any time we want, America might start waking up to the fact that we are living in the real world. We have three huge resources in this country that are almost completely going to waste, human brain power, human muscle power and all this "solid waste" going into landfills.

  • Thank you for all three points about "waste." One of which, is my pet peeve - muscle power. The farthest most people walk is from their couch to their car (in the garage), then from their car to their office, then vis-a-versa. I walk all the time because I don't want to end up in a wheel chair...

  • Great vid

  • Thank you. It looks a lot better today. I just finished updating all stations with shots of businesses within a block.

  • Wow, nice work. Light rail are awsome. How did you film? Did you put the camera on the top of the car?

Getting a light rail here in my hometown to, Bergen, Norway. It's going to be complete in 2010. Can't wait.

  • I own a Chevy Silverado pickup and duct taped the camera to the side-view mirror...

It was an obstacle course... lol...

  • Moving to phoenix next august, looking foward to it...

  • Ah, ok.

Lol, yeah, I can imagine it was an obstacle course. It feels like it here to. But I guess it will be worth it. Can't wait to test this one home. And maybe the one in phoenix if I ever get there.
