resident evil is not that scary, its a basic fun survival game. Silent hill has a lot more depth and symbolism to it.

@SkellionPowalskiz As much as i disliked the silent hill movie (though to give it credit, at least it tryed to follow the story..and to that point it did) I have to agree..resident evil moves where horrid

I thought the movie of silent hill is the best video game adaptation so far. Not a perfect one of course, but better than the other shite like the resident evil ones.

@Fatmanrolling38 indeed. silent hill is more of the athmospher heavy. Resident evil is fun for sure , one of my fav serie (im a big fan of zombie etc) but when its about being scared - silent hill is where its at. damn the first 1 is fucking scary if you get in the game enough.

@Fatmanrolling38 hmm... unfortenetly there is always this vioce in the back of my mind reminding me "It's a game, Harry is not in danger, he'll just go back to the last save point, the monsters are not real, the events are fake, the acting is sub-par, ect."

stopping me from getting the emursion critical to feeling the fear Silent Hill is sapost to give.

But Resident Evil's cheep jump scares work just fine, at least once, more if your memory isn't that good. I know Silent Hill is better though.

I listened to this track when reading Anne Appelbaum's "Gulag", which was about the communist forced labour camps (basically a system for administrating slaves). Gave me shivers how well it went together with the theme of the book...
