I believe this was at The Cavern (I think) or something like that. They played there often.

I literally grew up listening to this band. "Beatles IV" was my very first record. And now I am blessed to have every album they ever made. It would be easy to say they were the greatest band ever, and maybe they are but when I stop and think about all those incredible British Invasion bands, the choice is not easy. Their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show changed America and the world forever. I can't think of another band with so much impact.

...this is timeless music. How many of you can remember what song was #1 last week or last month...etc. The melodies nowadays don´t stand the test of time. They pour them out of factories along with a video where half-naked women dance. They´re only concern is to make a million real quick, then on to the next project. No staying-power!! They should have a "love it" button to click on. "Like" is not enough for this legendary, timeless music. Have a nice day.

Was 14 when I saw them along with Roy Orbison at the Granada Tooting in 1963. Best Group ever.

England didn't have access to a lot of this kind of music. In America, there was Elvis and some others. I'm rather sure (just thought of it) that the Beatles made this kind of music "safe" for white American (and English) teens. Little Richard by Little Richard was one thing, Little Richard by The Beatles was another thing.

I like Pauls expressions, the way he moves his head :D

.... continued
Regarding the timing of the British Invasion, and the Beatles in particular, the timing of that first Sullivan Show... less than two months after the open wound that was Dallas. The country, and the media, were looking for any positive story to close the wounds and move on, and The Beatles were the perfect story at the perfect time. And... they just happened to be the best Rock'n Roll band on the planet at the time.
Great video... thanks for posting!

The Beatles at their best IMHO... you could be excused for thinking lip sync on the "Comand Performance" songs they're so "tight."
No autotune, no lyric sheets, no backing tracks, no dancers, snakes, tattoos, shock clothing/makeup.......JUST STANDING UP THERE AND PLAYING NOTE FOR NOTE FVCKING GREAT MUSIC!!!!
