Hello YouTube,

A detailed video to show you how to record gameplay from your PS3 on a Mac with a Hauppauge HD PVR and EyeTV 3.

The same principles also apply when it comes to recording Xbox 360 gameplay.

I hope you enjoy - please rate, comment and subscribe.

  • is there a way do do it without eyetv?

  • @boomslang225 Not that I am aware of.

  • Hello, i bought a HD PVR Gaming edition but there are 2 problems. if i start playing while the pvr is turned on its laggin all the time (no sound 4 a few second and in the captured video are missing parts of 30 seconds) the other problem is that i got something that looks like rain on my tv screen if i play while its turned on. can someone help me?

  • @LoveMusicGermany I would recommend that you swap the PS3 component that you got with the PVR with the Sony branded PS3 component cable. Next you need to update EyeTV with the latest patch and possibly install driver(s). The Mac and TV screen will never be in sync, do not worry about that. Exporting the file out of EyeTV is a case of trail / error., at the moment I am selecting HDV 720p. If all else fails get in touch with Elgato, they have a very good online diagnostic system.

  • The ps3 componnent cable come with the ps3? Because my only have the yellow, red and white cables. Somebody knows it?

  • @pedkg Nope... what you have is a scart cable, not a component cable.
