As every year on the Roman Catholic calendar, 21st September is St Matthew's Day. Being the patron saint of Salerno, Italy, the town celebrates by holding umpteen cultural events, an enormous procession, eating traditional Saleritano food - the most typical St. Matthew's Day dish is spleen stuffed with parsley, mint and hot chilli pepper, cooked in oil and vinegar which is truly delicious .... but only once a year! - and, later that evening, a spectacular firework display. This short film shows the climax of the half-hour-long show.
