Here's a short acoustic version of Tracy Chapman classic "Fast Car".
I performed this song using a vintage semiacoustic guitar, recorded at home. In the background the original song is played at low volume.

I want to say sorry to everyone who send me mail for the Tab version, but there are so many of them that I had no time to reply it. I will insert the Tab here soon.

  • no those are steel strings :)

  • Awesome. I love the way you played this song, i've got a feeling its your own version and not a tab. And i love the little ending solo you put in it. You rock dude

Yes, this is my own version playing Fast Car. I started to find out some chords and somehow this recognizable riff of the song came out.

If anyone is interested in the tab, I made one tab just send me mail.

  • Omg Your amazing =) I love this ending too :) Great job

  • lol that was funny

  • That Thing At The End Was Amazing Hehe. Good Cover 5*

  • Ahh this video is perfect for showing how to strum during the chorus, it's the one part that I've been having trouble with. I didn't know how to do it. XD Thank you :D

  • When you do the chorus and Tracy C can be heard singing "I - I" the chord to use is a Cmajor I think. Nice version thanks for showing the way :)

  • the hammer-on is on the B string go from 0 onto 1. so make a C but remove first finger, then hammer-on after you pluck A,G, and B all together. i loveee playing the picking part amazing.

  • perfect...

  • what make is that guitar???

  • I think its just C G Em D

But his C is a little different, he treats his C like a G. I got a question too. At 00:22 what is the fingering on that crazy cool hammer-on?
