  • Oh Wow... What a beautiful performance! I've known Leon and his brother Eric as classmates at Wm Levering School back in the mid to late 70's. At the time I didn't know of his dancing but he did perform Peaches & Herb's Reunited for the class assembly. It was GREAT! He graduated from Levering 1978 I left the next year. Leon's life took off to do wonderous things. My time with him was so magical. I'm so glad to have known him for the laughs & his creativity. I miss him dearly....

  • What an extraordinary tribute...Leon was my dear friend and colleague. There was a time when watching something like this would make me sad...today I am uplifted and inspired. Ironically, today I have a rehearsal with the students of one of MY students. The piece is entitled, "To Leon, With Love". It is sure to be an extraordinary rehearsal. Thank you!! ~Traci Hall

  • I thank Leon for giving me the opportunity to get my first Full Time professional gig. For 7 years, I carried the torch you gave to me. For that and for the enormity of your legacy, I am most grateful.

  • what a moving tribute to Leon. met him at the age of 12 and also performed the Wiz with him at CAPA. He was the Tinman and I was the scarecrow in 79-80. This is Stephen Pugh

  • Thank you so much for posting this. What a wonderful treat for the many of us that loved Leon.

  • Hi, Jaye...this is Iris. I appreciate you having it posted. The world sure could use a Leon right now. Thank you!

  • My friend who posted this for me, fwd this comment over so I would know. This is Jaye, and it was my wish for those who knew him to have something to keep. Glad you have found it. Peace!

  • Leon was my oldest friend. I still feel the loss of him every day. I could say much more, but even that wouldn't be enough. Leon, thank you and I love you always.
