I saw a live motorcade prior to 9/11 and it was nowhere near as intense as that. When you think about the changes since 9/11 it's insane....it cost this country a fortune!!!!!

@Stormray Another fact to consider is that it is up to the 'local' principality as to how many police officers will be assigned to escort the President's motorcade. From what I've seen, Most localities go all out for President Obama & have provided more protection for him then any other motorcade I've ever seen. It's like their law enforcement is truly up for this one. :-)

adrenaline must have been flowing for them. Big honor for all involved. I was on genesee street when Air Force one landed. around 10 min before, the SS were all over the street checking people out but my highlight of the day was when a black suburban drove past me with an agent driving and 3 green berets in the passenger seats with m16s. I was psyched up.
