Really good time! And a legit scramble too (unlucky!) Felt good and didn't feel i was going so fast. Was in a good mood and focused. And my overall time is under 2 minutes now. Could not break that barrier for awhile now.

Cube: Cube4You DIY type II A
Stickers: Cubesmith Tiles Standard color scheme
Lubrication: CRC Silicone

  • the fridrich method will come faster each day you practice i started using it and got 1min 23sec but then 2 weeks later i got 50 sec and now i got down to 25. Just practice and dont forget to look ahead so you can get faster. 5/5

  • Thanks! I really do need to work on my look ahead. My mind seems to seize up sometimes with all these algorithms..lol One day i know it, then in the heat of a solve, i forget it..lol Just need more practice i guess..lol

    Thank you for the 5/5

  • 1:12?? Very nice indeed! =) I'm impressed. I'm waiting for your sub minute video. How's the DIY holding up? what kind of cube is that off in the corner? I'm pretty excited, i just ordered a set of textured and smooth tiles and 5 sets of stickers from Cubesmith... but until they arrive, I'm stuck with a sticker-less red DIY. His name is Greg. You'll meet him whenever i get around to making my tutorial...

    Cheers,

  • Yeah, i think that sub minute is right around the corner. I feel i need to learn some more OLL's. I find i take longer than i should on them and my PLL's.. That background cube is my ol' black rubik's brand re-tiled. It needs to be cleaned and re-lubed. It's horrible now..lol

Good luck with the stickers and tiles. What type DIY? Can't wait for dat tutorial. I need all da help i can get..lol

  • I know 9 OLLs and 8 PLLs. I'm working on a few more PLLs. I still haven't lubed my cube. I only have non-silicon "plastic safe" lube... I'm not sure what type, to be honest.. I bought it off the Rubik's god of my school (his record is like 12 seconds). I expect my tutorial to be up by the end of the month.. I'll get started on it whenever my tiles come.

  • Cool. Silicone spray is the way to go. At least for DIY's It seems to have destroyed my 2 rubiks brands. One cracked and broke and the other is all flaky and slow. 12 seconds..wow. Your friend is just about world record ready.
