As I often do, comparing the island of Bonaire with other islands that just as ours offer unbelievable and exclusive diving experiences. Just returning from Wakaya Island in Fiji, which is located on the South-East of Viti Levu. It is an all-exclusive island with 300 inhabitants and one dive resort. And just as we live with our Bonaire time they live as much on Fiji time, no hurry don't worry. The Fijian people just as the Bonairians they are hard workers but will seldom envision progress to the cost of their happiness. Enjoying living at a slow pace, above modernization where family time has been so often compromised. It's better to work little and have time with the family than to work hard and lose love for nature.
A message from the Fijian people spoken by an elder and dedicated to Bonaire:
Pay attention to everything you see and hear, the leaves in the morning breeze, the waves on the ocean, every thing moves and every thing moves to a rhythm and every thing that moves to a rhythm will creates sound. At this moment the same thing is happening here and everywhere ells in the world. Our ancestors noticed the same thing when they where going through their daily lives: "the sound of nature is music to your ears"
Now some one on your island has changed all this, some one is guilty of disturbing the music and your quality of live. Progression of a foreign occupation has changed all what was ones a peaceful population who where getting on with their daily occupations and you seem now busy and stress-full, destructions for constructions.
Nature has to make way for a new population who envision bigger possessive ownership.
