RoqyBT GPS - Navigon UK - Ipod Touch Sat Nav

I bought the bluetooth gps receiver off ebay for £10 and also the roqyBT software from cydia that cost me around £7 for the full version. This software enables me to use any bluetooth gps receiver on the market to use sat nav on my ipod touch. In order to do this, you will need a jailbroken device. I have a Ipod Touch 2G with the winterboard theme from cydia 'Leopard theme'. I have used TomTom and navigon on this device and im sure that there are more navigational apps out there that will be compatible in this method. i think this is a much better alternative than the other 'gps360 from orange gadgets'.

@gamekillanyc it is worth every single penny, if youve already got an ipod, then its just £18 for the whole package, just download the navigational software from the internet or installous, job done :D

Absolutely useless video as there is no sound and no explanation of how you connect a bluetooth gps receiver to ipod when this is only possible when you jailbreak the ipod. stop wasting people's time and worse, misleading them into buying things they cant use!

You can download the TomTom app (in ipa format) from piratebay then upload that to your ipod from iTunes after installing AppSync through Cydia. (Does not require constant wifi connection like Navigon but takes up far more space.. about 1.4GB)

Pain in the ass .. 1 it drains the hell out of the battery. 2 pain in the ass method 3 regular car gps is about 50 bucks and alot more convenient

What a pain in the ass.

One as to turn on the GPS.

Turn on the RogyBT software.

Wait for it to scan.

Pick the bluetooth device manually.

Then finally turn on Navigon.

Nice, but does it work on Ipod touch 3g 3.1.3 MC model? and what's the name of the bluetooth receiver or what do I have to search?
