  • this is not osaka by the way.

they are based in nishinomiya, hyogo.

  • ''The Hanshin Tigers, one of the oldest professional clubs in Japan, were founded in 1935 with the team being formed in 1936. The team was first called the Ōsaka Tigers. In 1940, amid anti-foreign sentiment, the Tigers changed the name to Hanshin and in 1947 changed the name back to Ōsaka Tigers. The current team name was assumed in 1961.'' Now your facts. They may be based in Nishinomiya, but are comming out for Osaka. And since it is still the Osaka perfecture, they are still in osaka. Lamer

  • I got some chills down my spine. I wish baseball fans were like that here in the USA

  • he plays for yomiuri ginats

  • hey...I'm Venezuelan....does Alex Ramirez play there? have u seen videos from him??

  • p.s. sorry - its "ko" thats pronouced shin, my mistake.

  • hanshin - the name comes from combination of osaka & kobe (saka is olso pronouced han & be is also pronouced shin). The name is also a company name, but it is thought to bring osaka and hyogo together. They are more like kansai team, than osaka team. Osaka team is buffaloes. im from osaka, and im a hardcore fan, so no offence, but i know my facts.
