@MrLovekhmer4ever Hells not real. Don't comment stuff like that on a Bhuddist video.

I'm not sure if buddhists are atheists, because Buddha never said anything about there being a God or not, even thought we generally don't believe there is one. It's actually even OK to believe in God if you wish, cause it doesn't go against the teachings of Buddha. But, we believe that God cannot end our sufferings, and therefore there's no need to worship him in any way, because that only makes it harder to achieve Nirvana.

now do it backwards

Sounds like dying cats
@GuamKomudo Actually, the suttas often speak of gods visiting the Buddha or vice versa. However, those gods are caught in samsara just as humans are, so they are not like the gods above, beyond and outside of everything that the abrahamic religions worship. The sutta gods are capable of learning and self-improvement.
Not to mention that it is up to the individual Buddhist to figure out what to believe in.

@garouHH Buddha lived in a vastly Hindu country, he told allogorical stories, to help people of the region understand his teachings. He is also quoted as saying “...Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books...But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it...” He was one of the first ever skeptics and none of Buddhisms core teachings are theistic!
