Southend-Clacton-Earls Colne 18th Sept 2009 Part 1

On Friday 18th Sept Ed & I went on a jolly to Clacton. The idea was for me to do some short field take off and landings at Clacton, But they don't encourage circuits

for non members, so we had to go for plan "B"
Ed flew from Southend-Clacton then to Earls Colne. I then flew from Earls Colne to Clacton, where I got my short field take off and landing in! Then I flew back to

Southend. It was cloudy when we left Southend but when we got to Clacton, it was great. This is part one with Ed as Captain, part two follows shortly.

Southend looks a nice airport to fly from! I do hope the runway extension get's the go-ahead.

It is a nice airport. Yes we hope the extension get the go ahead. As long as they keep GA ?

I hope the Thames Gatweway one doesn't get the go ahead as that will put pay to us just nipping across the estuary!

Great to see Southend, I grew up nearby and spent many hours over there from the old Piston and Dart engine days till the late 90s
