What an ignorant thing to say,

His long-term career should not tarnish his entire character as a person nor should it eliminate the credit that is due for the hard work and commitment that Leonardo has sacrificed for this particular cause.

Apart from this, he has always put some money where his mouth is - to the tune of millions in support of the causes that he supports.
How many politicians have done that? Was Obama championing these issues as a teenager? Were you?

Good for Leo. He's not just a pretty face (and damn is he hot) but he is also trying to make a difference.

Everyone who is saying he's just an actor, he's not making real changes need to read about Leo's environmentalism before all this empty headed hate speech. Real Leo fans know that he has been involved with environmental causes since he was a teenager and has a action committee he leads that is making far strides to help people lower their carbon footprint in cheap and economical ways. He's not "just making documentaries" and I think the 11th hour was a true labor of love. Earth is all we have!

"I can't see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. Kevin and I will keep them out somehow — even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!"
