Off of Trisha Yearwood's 2000 album "Real Live Woman" written by Linda Ronstadt and Andrew Gold. Amazing vocal! Thanks to my friend Shelly for sharing the video! This video was from Austin City Limits in 2000.

  • I have been a avid Trisha fan since 1991, and I have bought every album on the day it was released since her debut. And this truely is my favorite song of hers.

I know Linda did it first, and she did it very well. But Trisha makes you almost forget anyone else ever sang it. She dosent copy the material, she works to make it her own.

  • Where and when was this performance?

  • 2000 on the show Austin City Limits

  • Of course nobody can sing like Linda Ronstadt. Nobody even close. Trisha would tell you that herself and she calls Linda "The Queen" everytime she sings Linda's song. Kudos to Trisha as she is a very talented singer. Thank you for posting this video!

  • beautiful version by a beautiful singer, no need to compare Linda is a beautiful singer who does a great version as well, love them both

  • what I would give to run my fingers though her hair. SHE is gorgoues

  • Trisha is flawless ... When she does your song it's just going to be better because she is the best

  • good effort but shes not linda can someone please post linda singing it?

  • @wmdude102086

I also own all her cds- also have them on cassette and will not part with any of either format . SHe is one of the best female voices in country - I love her soaring , emotional voice . She never has one song on a cd that is " filler" . She knows how to choose the best songs from the best songwriters - Annie Roboff,f Matraca Berg, Emmylou , Beth Neilsen Chapman , Rodney Crowell - all are masterpieces of song .

  • Linda Ronstadt and Andrew Gold, who died yesterday, were the songwriters. Gold was the son of Marni Nixon, the singer who dubbed Natalie Wood, Deborah Kerr, Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren in many movies.

  • I have always loved Linda Ronstat for this very song. I always wanted to hear it redone. Linda is a hard one to follow, but Trisha did a good job.

  • Yeah, but Linda co-wrote the song. Give her props. Trisha can't put the same soul into it 'cause it just ain't hers. It's Linda's

  • linda's version is my favorite song of hers and no one can do this like linda. i hate trisha and only watched it cause its the only one on youtube. no one can touch linda ronstadt shes a legend.

  • trisha does do this song well. love her and i love linda. this is one of the few songs linda actually wrote. i know she's co-wrote a few... i think she should've done it more.

  • Patsy Cline, God Rest Her Precious Soul,......would do Linda Ronstadt.,.....If she were still with us. Patsy, not,....you know what I'm Sayn! I cannot say anything BAD about someone paying Homage,.....Trishia is purty cute,....but I belong to LINDA. Always have. Always will. Till HELL comes betwixed. I reckon it wont be too long. Uggghhhmmm. I hope Hell has bisskits, and franch fried Pertators, UGGGHHHMMM . and Headphone booths fer me to lissen to Linda for all of eternity, and whatnot.
