Recipe:

Serves 4

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Servings: about 3 cups

Ingredients * 1 loaf (1 ¼- to 1 ½- pound) hearty round bread, unsliced * 1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened * 1 cup mayonnaise * 1 cup shredded mozzarella or pizza blend cheese * 1 packet Hidden Valley® Ranch Dressing & Seasoning Mix * ½ cup chopped orange pepper * 1 can (2.25 ounces) sliced black olives, drained, reserved 2 slices * ¼ cup chopped fresh basil * Assorted fresh vegetables

Directions 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Hollow loaf, leaving bottom 1-inch thick. Cut 1-inch cubes from the hollowed out inside bread: set aside. Use leftover top of the bread for a stem.
3. Place loaf on baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly toasted. Remove from oven. Cool on a wire rack until ready to use.
4. For dip, combine cream cheese, shredded cheese and Hidden Valley® Ranch Dressing & Seasoning Mix in a medium microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave on high 1 to 1 ½ minutes, stirring half way through. Remove and stir until cheese is completely melted. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat one minute or until heated through.
5. Spoon dip into bread. Please 2 reserved olive slices near top for "eyes" and triangle orange peppers for the nose and mouth. Serve with reserved bread cubes and fresh vegetables for dipping.

  • YUM! That looks delicious.

  • does anyone in canada have any information concerning the ranch dip prohibition ? I thought ranch dip was gone forever when they replaced it with mayo(it still is called ranch) 10 years ago then a new american chain restaurant opened up and they had REAL ranch. but within a couple of weeks it was replaced.

American chocolate tastes like wax compared to canadian chocolate and canadian chocolate tastes like wax compared to british chocolate. incrimentalisation.
