  • Yes it's a literale translation of the song..... tout disparait à l'interieur à tout jamais,Bonjour que voulez vous savoir et qui voulez vous voir qui voulez vous que je sois si ce n'est pas moi europop me rend ivre and then a mix of real basic cafouillage Do someone know if there's an official clip of this song or live more in the mood of the original version thank you

  • Ahh thanks for the proper translation. Plus I now know what "cafouillage" means heh

I'm not aware of any official clip of this song. There's a live recording of the song on youtube from a UK festival earlier in the year which has the original lyrics. Quality isn't great though (not that mine is a masterpiece either.)

I think part of the problem is that before 2008 Neil hadn't played the song live for ages. And they've only played it a handful of gigs this year.

  • i think you´re right, but my french is not even basic... ja... well... a job for a french maybe...

  • Having listened again I think he sings the first verse again, but in French, and the original (English) 2nd verse is dropped entirely. I can tell you that it starts:

    Bonjour

    Que voulez-vous savoir ?

    Que voulez-vous entendre ?

But after that I'd be struggling...

  • @getmadgetmad1

He hates the album for a reason.

    Don't do that to yourself.

    Seriously.

  • @getmadgetmad1 fair enough; wasn't criticising, was just a bit curious about how Fanfare originally came into it. Doesn't help that the way YT handles comments these days it's impossible to follow the thread of any previous discussion. Was also worried someone might read these comments and then go do something silly like spending £100 on Fanfare hoping to hear Europop heh

  • @getmadgetmad1 I can't remember how much I paid for my copy. But anyone considering spending a lot of money should do some research, as there are known to be counterfeit copies around.

How did the discussion get onto Fanfare anyway? Europop isn't even on it... the original version (which Neil doesn't even sing on) was on the Europop EP, and the proper TDC version was on Liberation album.

  • @getmadgetmad1 I Have it... bouth the CD in a second hand store for 10 €, I hardly believe what I was seing... Probably neither the seller neither the owner of the store knew the rarity they were selling :)

  • yeah you´re right i try in a translator and i get the same conclusion.

thanks a lot for your suggest
