  • Glad I got out of there before you got sick. Wouldn't want to have brought that back to North Carolina. LOL

Nice bowl. What glaze mix are you going to Raku that with?

  • Hi David - I am in good health , just heavy breathing or something , bad sound recording or the fire was 'woofing' quietly beside me ,

  • is this your hobby or a business perhaps both?

  • Simon, I discovered your videos the other day, and I have really enjoyed learning from them. Thanks.

Is there a name for clay like this that is one day old, between just-thrown and greenware?

  • I'm new to posting ANYTHING. I just wanted to tell you that I have watched almost all of your videos and you are quite amazing. I'm a college student and NEVER thought I would take a ceramics class as one of my electives. I'm glad I did. I'm the only guy in a class of 10 women; that's a reason to enjoy it even more..lol! Great job with the recordings, but even better job at caring for your hobby/job and 'students' all over the world.

  • You are very talented and clever and I hope you keep on giving us all these ideas and clues. The tip about getting away and looking is really good and my tutor told me this and I was so amazed aboout that when I knew it because it really does make a difference.

  • Does it matter how you do it as long as how it turns out is good.. and we all copy from someone with a difference.

  • Simon and Tom

Hope it's not the glue HaHa!

    "DebraRay"

I think Bill Van Gilder uses a bit of 2"x 2"

wooden block to make soft gruves? Sand the corners down abit and cut at diff lenghts for diff sz pots.

I wld probably use flat side of lg rib or scrapper, as I wldn't be able to hold onto bamboo like you do Simon.
