Humboldt Bay Tow-in Surfing

Unknown individuals tow-in surfing at Humboldt Bay Harbor Entrance, California, October 25, 2008. The swell was northwest at 13-15 feet and 17-20 seconds for most of the day. Too big for North Jetty, Moonstone, Camel Rock, and Patrick's Point. This tow-in was the only thing going. Could be good tomorrow if the swell drops and it stays this clean...

i had the privilege of LIVING on the south jetty when i was 5-7 yrs old. surfing that channel is NUTS! fun to watch though.

I camped out there in '88 for a week while looking for an apartment. Nobody lives there now though. I will be on the north side for the big swell this weekend and hope some nuts decide to surf...

yeah the county decided that people living there was a hazard towards snowy plovers (some bird) ...... lol w.e people cant handle free living
