Cattle by Birim River Oda: An innocent walk to the river took me to Africa.

The "Old Town" section of Akyem Oda, Ghana by the river Birim Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Bored, I decided to walk through Old Town and down to the river. To my surprise I ended up in "Africa".

A lot of folks out of the shot were a little afraid of the cattle which somehow surprised me because the cattle seemed well-treated and used to being around people.

I must admit though that when they got really close to me and just stopped, stood, and stared I was afraid because I wasn't sure if it would just start running towards me with their horns pointed.

The guy on my side of the bank waiting for the ferry got a little annoyed with the cattle herders for not controlling their herd better.
