Tiger photographs taken in India's Kaziranga National Park by Steve Winter, Director of Media for Panthera, were released in the August edition of National Geographic Magazine. In this video, Steve describes how he tracked a tigress and her cubs and worked closely with park guards to capture the up-close "Smiling Tiger" photograph, shown on the front page of NatGeo's "India's Grassland Kingdom" article. Great tiger shot and thanks for posting... I will be going to Kaziranga this January (2011) to see, among other things, the Asian rhinoceroses, buffalo, and hog deer... there will be a total of 7 ventures into the park (elephant or gypsy)... is it too much to hope to see a tiger there when the elephant grass is so high (late January)?
