  • awww poor spike looks like a white duck, if i lived in ilanois i would of come down and taken him home with me and made him a very happy Too.

  • @sonicbeans Spike is actually a resident, meaning his family is paying a monthly fee for us to keep him until their newborn is old enough for 'too and kid to successfully interact. They come visit him every month or so. Ollie's recently initiated an out of state adoption process that can be found on its website. They will not, however, ship birds.

  • @johngalt9999 i know what a plucker/mutilator is as i have a plucker/mutilator of my own due to the store my mom got mine from but thankfully he is getting better due to lots of time being spent with him and lots of toys. i would never expect a a bird to be shiped due to the stress of it.

  • @sonicbeans i just meant that his plucked condition was not the result of being put into a shelter situation. i think it happened when the couple that had him had their child. once that happened, Spike got less and less time and attention and started plucking and trying to bite the kid. Spike was only 2 or 3 years old (if I remember correctly) when we got him.

  • @sonicbeans this is the condition in which we got the bird, however. his feathers were like that when we got him.

  • what happended to her wings???

  • we got our Moluccan from a Pet Store for free, a long complicated story but she is now happy and content. FT

  • I can't believe there are pet stores that actually still SELL these poor Toos! :(

  • Dear boy, if he was a happy, healthy boy this could have been funny. Alas, he is just another reason not to buy a bird from a pet shop.
