HILLARIOUS! The divot on that shot was pointing left, not "pretty straight." To hit it straight with a downward angle of attack the direction of the swing relative to the target line MUST be left! It is called the d-plane. JR knows how to do it, just not how to tell you!

@thefamiliepak if you hit the ball correctlly the divot should curve to the left for the right handed golfer. that means the follow through is following the arc

I'm much better at tipping pints in the Pub...maybe that is why I suck at golf.
-
@thefamiliepak When we filmed it I can say it was pretty straight.

hey justin. do you recommend practising with the ball below your feet like you have in the video?...........

in the pub having a pint haha
English golfers are the BEST
@veryspecialsteve It must be the camera angle as the range was flat and if possible that is the surface you should practice on.

should you allways leave a divot while hitting

@auzzypride121 A divot is the result of a descending blow with the iron that shows you have hit down on the ball. If your technique is correct then this will happen automatically so go speak to a coach rather than trying to take a divot deliberately just for the sake of it, if you know what I mean. Not all shots have to have a divot to be good shots.
