Nanowrimo Tips and Tricks

November is National Novel Writing Month. Here are some tips and tricks I learned that might help you, my fellow writer, get through the ordeal of writing 50,000 words in one month.

@BelleEdlynn I am right there with you, my friend. Except I'm about 20,000 words behind. Don't beat yourself up though. That just keeps you stuck.

Give yourself permission to take a break with a specific time, say ten more minutes of video watching, then write for half an hour with the promise of another break at that point. It works for me sometimes, just to keep the momentum going. Any words are good.

a few days ago I got stuck, skipped a day and when I finally got back to it only wrote 1000 words for two days. Now I'm 6000 words behind and for the first time this month I have... Home Work. NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Wish me luck. :/

@blythe025 Yeah, thanks. I find I write more when I'm in the car (not driving though, lol) or at school - where there's nothing to distract me... The tip about not deleting something is gonna help though. I keep self-editing while writing though I know I shouldn't....
