  • Hello Len,

I can weld and do just about anything. Scranton is a long way

from Wyoming. Is it a coal fired plant?

I graduated from Local 28 Boilermakers Union years ago so I had some good training, then got out on my own working my own rig truck in the oil patch in Wyoming. I am a Pastor of a Church as well so it is pretty hard for me to travel and just pick up and go. What are they paying in Steamtown. What are you working on? What type of project is it? Look forward to hearing back from you.

  • Thanks Tom, I don't remember cutting open my glove on this one. Maybe I nicked it or something. I did not feel it on my hand.

  • No problems what so ever.

It doesn't work to well with the tig but the upgraded version of the 3 m speedglass does.

The one I am wearing is the fixed shade 10. Hormel 3 M is the best of the best. I have tried them all.

  • Thanks

  • I meant to say use a rolling ground clamp!

  • how many times did u arc strike the inside of the pipe from using a rolling ground clamp!!! Dummy! you couldn't fit a sharp stike up a dead dogs ass and please learn how to properly weld before putting videos on you tube and embarrassing yourself!!!!

  • thats why u don't let welders fit lol

  • Ggggg sounds pretty good don't it haha lmao

  • @dougspair ..This guy sells videos...? I'm 64...been in-out of welding for 30+years...I still don't know everything, but this guy doesn't seem that professional, compared to others I see on here with learning demonstrations...Especially with the car sitting right there...swarf from abrasives, sparks getting on windows...just my opinion of course... Then I thought he said something about 'buttering' up the root bead...you won't usually be doing any buttering on a root bead...

  • @dougspair ..I meant to say 6010 there...not 6016..which doesn't exist

  • @hilo5555 I've done a good bit of flange work...I only use a copper hammer there..and 6016 for root is usually required...I don't know what this guy is using..but most all the 6010 (5P) is sort of red..

  • suprised you didnt try a 2 hole that fit up !!

  • @mdtread hi the miller elite is ALOT better than ANY speedglass...in price and performance

  • Kudos to you sir, for wearing safety glasses.
