I believe a lot of celebrities may have dabbled in communism way before the cold war began and before most knew just how twisted and evil a philosophy it was. Back during the depression, John Sanford, aka Redd Foxx and best friend Slappy White were "sit in' members of a socialists group in New York(maybe Harlem?), but it was only because at the meetings they were provided with a free meal.

Lucy died young(77) Wonder if she hadn't smoked, would she still be with us? My grandmom lived to be 99.
